Hi There,
This is me. I used to have a lot of boring information about my credentials listed here. It read like this: Blah, blah, and blah. Goodness! (BTW, you can still find those boring credentials elsewhere on this website. But definitely bring a pillow in case you need a snooze!)
The following might be more helpful for you to know about me.
I tried to pick an age group with whom to specialize, but the truth is that I like all ages. In addition to teaming with adults, I think teenagers, tweens, and kids rock, too! And I have special training to work with them. I use sand tray, art, movement, and play to engage them.
Humor is an important part of my work with others. It’s not all tears with me. Though, I can go deep into the forest with you, we can also laugh together. When you’re ready.
I love animals. Sometimes during a telehealth session, Max cat will briefly poke his nose into the computer to say hello. I think he likes to know that you are doing alright. I'm a dog person, too. And, I also see folks in-person.
There are many plant children hanging out in my windows. I am an excellent plant mom. Life is all about growing.
As a newer Coloradan, I especially enjoy the mountains. It’s like living inside a beautiful picture every day! I also love nature, hiking, photography, art, designing, writing, cooking (and eating), the Denver Nuggets, adventuring, and hanging out with my people. What about you? Let me tell you why I am full of hope. It's because there is this thing called neural plasticity (also called brain plasticity and neuro-plasticity). Did you know that through growth and reorganization, our brain’s neural networks can change? Incredible! But what does this mean for us? For our lives? It means that we can have a completely different life experience. Through things like meditation and good therapy, we can actively rewire our brains towards more peaceful living. And more joyful living. Yup. It’s the science. When our brains change, our lives can change too. It’s so hopeful.
There is a free downloadable tip sheet, 13 Ways to Have a More Joyful Day, on the next page.
I also made a nature photo show for you on the last page. Go take a look.
And come back and visit us soon.
